I Want Text Messages about Shelter/Housing Issues
In the event of an emergency, Inclement Weather Episodes and shelter availability, or housing-related issues, the Office of Supportive Housing has arranged with the County Office of Emergency Services to be able to send text messages to the homeless, service providers and anyone else who would like to receive the messages. To be included in this messaging opportunity, send a text message BADWEATHER to 888777. Service providers, shelter personnel, case managers and outreach teams are encouraged to share this information with their clientele so that as many people as possible can subscribe to this FREE service. Please help spread the word, so more individuals in need of shelter, especially in times of inclement weather, can learn of sheltering opportunities.
